AIA Grows 44 Percent In Just Over A Year

Adds 21 New Member Companies In Just The Last Three Months

The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) enrolled ten new full members along with eleven associate members in the first quarter of 2011 to reach its highest total membership in history. In the fifteen months since January 2010, AIA has grown 44 percent and has not lost a single full member in that period.

"Our explosive growth over the last year really comes as no surprise," said AIA President and CEO Marion C. Blakey. "AIA is on the front lines protecting aerospace and defense business and helping to develop growth opportunities for its members. During tough economic and political times, we need to band together as an industry."

AIA's new full members added to its roster this quarter include:

  • Crown, Inc., a technology and enterprise company, provides systems engineering, information technology and program management services.
  • Hi-Shear Technology Corporation provides pyrotechnic, mechanical and electronic products to the aerospace and defense markets in applications where safety, performance and high reliability are essential.
  • NobleTek provides engineering design and detailing of aircraft interiors, jigs and fixtures and designs software systems for automated flight planning. 
  • Qwaltec provides engineering and program support for defense and commercial firms that seek stalwart performance and innovative flexibility.
  • PTC provides superior product lifecycle management solutions for the aerospace and defense industry empowering companies to achieve greater visibility and traceability of product information.
  • Sanmina-SCI Corporation provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions, delivering unsurpassed quality and support to OEMs primarily in the communications, defense and aerospace, industrial and semiconductor systems, medical instrumentation, multimedia, enterprise computing and storage and automotive technology sectors.
  • Satair is a world leading supplier of aircraft parts and service solutions for aircraft maintenance.
  • SCB Training Center, Inc. performs operational analysis and support to assure compliance with various product requirements, including manned space flight.
  • The SI Organization, Inc. is a leading provider of full lifecycle, mission-focused systems engineering and integration services to the U.S. intelligence community, Defense Department and other agencies.
  • SIFCO Industries, Inc. produces and sells metalworking processes, services and products produced primarily to the specific design requirements of its customers.

AIA's new associate members added to its roster this quarter include:

  • Dassault Systemes is a world leader in 3D and product lifecycle management solutions. A pioneer in the 3D software market since 1981, Dassault Systemes applications provide a 3D vision of the entire lifecycle of products from conception to maintenance to recycling.
  • Lintech Components Co., Inc. is a trusted ISO 9001:AS 9120 certified stocking distributor of electronic components representing 95 leading manufacturer lines and managing more than 250,000 line items of inventory.
  • Phillips Screw Company is a world leader in the development and quality control of fastener drive systems for the aerospace industry.
  • Scot Forge Corporation  is a 100 percent employee-owned manufacturer of custom open die and rolled ring forgings.
