Home To The Cessna Lounge For Aviation Students

Kansas State University at Salina's Student Life Center will open to aviation students, faculty, and staff in mid-October. The 33,000 square foot facility will house a basketball gymnasium, second-level running track, racquetball courts, cardiovascular area, free weights, aerobic/fitness area, and exercise equipment. It will also be home to Cessna Lounge, a student lounge area complete with big screen tvs, video game consoles, pool tables and ping pong tables. A computer station is located in the SLC lobby.

Recreational Services and Student Life will move their offices into the building at the end of September when K-State will take possession of the building. The following weeks will be spent preparing the building for operation. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Novenber 5th on K-State's Salina campus.
