HAI Relocates To New Headquarters

Some Facilities Available For Use By Association Members

The executives and staff of Helicopter Association International (HAI) moved into the association’s new headquarters facility, located a few blocks away from its previous location in Alexandria, VA, on Thursday The new, larger space allows HAI to meet growth requirements to better serve members and provides office space, classrooms and meeting room facilities for visiting members.

“Purchasing this building represents a wise investment in the future — of the industry and of the association,” says HAI President Matt Zuccaro. “It allows us to add facilities our members can use right away and gives us space to grow in the years to come.”

Initially, HAI is occupying the top two floors of the four-story building and will lease the first two floors to other tenants. In future years, as the association grows to serve the helicopter industry, HAI can expand into the lower floors.

In addition to providing required office space for additional HAI staff members, the new facility provides a home base for HAI members visiting the Washington, D.C., area. There is temporary office space for members who may need to plug in a laptop or make some business calls. There are a number of conference rooms where members can host their own meetings. And there is a multimedia classroom where HAI will host educational sessions or members can hold their own training events.

“This building will fit the needs of HAI for the next 20 to 30 years, at least,” says Zuccaro. “We hope our members will take advantage of and use the facility whenever they have meetings or business in Washington.”
