A Winner! Avidyne Announces Winner Of 'Flysafe Giveaway Extravaganza'

Contest Winner Receives A New TAS620A Dual-Antenna Traffic Advisory System

And you say that you never win anything? Well; if you're Bob Edmonsden, you need to change your tune. Avidyne has announced that Edmondson, of Brookshire, TX, is the grand prize winner of Avidyne's "FlySafe Giveaway Extravaganza" promotion. Mr. Edmondson, who owns a Beech BE33 Debonair, has won a new Avidyne TAS620A Traffic Advisory System with 'ADS-B In' capability valued at $20,990.

"I was really surprised and I'm downright excited to be the grand prize winner in this contest, which I entered online in response to one of Avidyne's Extravaganza ads," said Mr. Edmondson. "I am really looking forward to upgrading my Debonair with my new Avidyne avionics. Thank you, Avidyne!"

"We certainly want to congratulate Bob, and we want to thank everyone who participated in our first FlySafe Giveaway Extravaganza," said Patrick Herguth, Avidyne's Chief Operating Officer. "As we recently announced, Avidyne is developing a full line of panel mounted avionics, and this program is enabling us to learn more about our customers and aircraft owners who may be interested in the exciting products we are developing."

The FlySafe Giveaway Extravaganza was originally launched in April 2011 and is specifically targeted toward aircraft owners. All valid entries submitted via the Avidyne website and at domestic and international trade shows from Lakeland 2011 in April through EAA AirVenture 2011 in July were eligible for the grand prize drawing. As part of this contest, Avidyne also gave away an Apple iPad2 at a previous event and another at EAA AirVenture, and Apple iTouch iPods at each of several other shows and fly-ins during the same period.

"The FlySafe Giveaway Extravaganza was very successful from our point of view, and you can expect that 'Extravaganza 2,' which runs now through the end of December 2011, and has our newly-announced IFD540 FMS/GPS./NAV/COM as the Grand Prize, will be equally exciting," Herguth added.

Aircraft owners can view contest rules and sign up for Avidyne's "Extravaganza 2" giveaway, with a grand prize of a new Avidyne IFD540 FMS/GPS/NAV/COM, at the upcoming fall trade shows, or they can sign up online.
