NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine has confirmed August 2 as the target splashdown date for DM-2 crew members Behnken and Hurley, with additional details on the return of this historic mission to come. A twitter message got the news rolling with, "We're targeting an Aug. 1 departure of @SpaceX's Dragon Endeavour spacecraft from the @Space_Station to bring @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug home after their historic #LaunchAmerica mission. Splashdown is targeted for Aug. 2. Weather will drive the actual date. Stay tuned." 15 More Pilots With Fake Licenses Discovered

Pakistan's aviation woes continue. Following the scandal that took place weeks ago when media reports documented the fact that many Pakistani pilots were flying with bogus tickets, more fake pilots continue to be uncovered... and grounded. NASA Preps For Mars 2020 Perseverance Launch

Perseverance Is Part Of America’s Larger Moon To Mars Exploration Approach

NASA is targeting 7:50 a.m. EDT Thursday, July 30, for the launch of its Mars 2020 Perseverance rover on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The launch window is approximately two hours, with a launch opportunity every five minutes. The mission – designed to better understand the geology and climate of Mars and seek signs of ancient life on the Red Planet – will use the robotic scientist, which weighs just under 2,300 pounds and is the size of a small car, to collect and store a set of rock and soil samples that could be returned to Earth by future Mars sample return missions.

SpaceX ANASIS-II Mission Scheduled for Monday Launch

SpaceX is targeting Monday, July 20 for Falcon 9’s launch of the ANASIS-II (Army/Navy/Air Force Satellite Information System 2) mission, which will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The primary launch window opens at 5:00 p.m. EDT, or 21:00 UTC, and closes at 8:55 p.m. EDT, or 00:55 UTC on July 21. SecTrans Elaine Chao has appointed 20 representatives to the Youth Access to American Jobs in Aviation Task Force (YIATF). The objective of YIATF is to encourage high school students to pursue in-demand careers in aviation. A Witness Reported Observing White Smoking Coming From The Cockpit Prior To Impact

On July 10, 2020, about 1102 mountain daylight time, a Schweizer Grumman G-164B airplane, N6917K, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Springfield, Colorado. The commercial pilot sustained fatal injuries and succumbed from his injuries on July 14, 2020. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 137 aerial application flight. The pilot was enroute to Two Buttes, Colorado to perform a low-level aerial application flight in a rural area after departing from the Springfield Municipal Airport (8V7), Springfield, Colorado.
