Aviators and aviatrixes are celebrating! MT-Propeller today announced the availability of its new 5400-Series of 2-blade ground adjustable aluminum propellers for vintage aircraft. The new propellers are reconstructions of ground adjustable propellers made by the famous Standard Steel Propeller Company (later Hamilton Standard) manufactured from 1925 through 1945. This type of propeller, used primarily on vintage aircraft, has been out of production for decades, making the propellers scarce.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the airplane, more than 125 Cubs have landed on the grounds of Wittman Regional Airport for AirVenture, 2012. And 75 of those airplanes flew in in a "mass arrival" early in the week, filling the south parking area along runway 18-36 with a virtual sea of yellow ... with the occasional glimpse of white or red. At Phillips 66 Plaza, AirVenture attendees can see three aircraft from the historic Flabob Airport in Riverside, California including, The Flabob Express (a restored DC-3), a Cabin Waco, a 1937 biplane, and a 1941 Aeronca Chief, a fabric covered plane that was rebuilt by 35 students attending the Wathen Academy between 2000 and 2006.
