Pilots for three airlines owned by Indianapolis-based Republic Airways Holdings voted to authorize their union leaders to call a strike against the company should it become necessary. Members of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local No. 357 who fly for Chautauqua, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America overwhelmingly voted "yes" in a union-held strike authorization election that closed Tuesday.

No Injuries Reported In Auckland Waterfront Accident

Communications Workers Union Targets GOP Lawmakers Over FAA Funding

Contacted Voters, Passed Out Fliers In Airports Accusing Republicans Of Blocking Long-Term Funding Over Labor Issues

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) said it planned to contact 300,000 households in 19 Republican-held House districts, as well as handing out fliers in airports on the busiest travel day of the year, in an effort to blame those Republican lawmakers for the lack of a long-term FAA funding measure. The Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) operates under the CWA umbrella.

Goal Is To Educate Next Generation of Indian Aerospace Engineers

Honeywell has conducted India's first Aero Club flying competition at the Air Force Bal Bharti School (AFBBS) in Delhi, to train the next generation of Indian aviation enthusiasts and engineers on the science of model aircraft design and air worthiness.
