First Texas Public University To Offer A BS In Aviation
The University of North Texas is set to become the first Texas
public college or university to offer a bachelor of science degree
in aviation logistics next year. The program, which will be offered
by the UNT College of Business will begin accepting students next

NASA and Starfighters, Inc. signed a formal Space Act Agreement
Thursday, enabling Starfighters, a private aerospace company that
operates high performance fighter aircraft, to fully utilize the
Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF).
Gulfstream G250, G650 Included Under New Agreement
FlightSafety International says that it has expanded its
training services agreement with Gulfstream Aerospace to include
the new Gulfstream G650 and Gulfstream G250 aircraft.
FlightSafety and Gulfstream are working closely together to develop
comprehensive training programs.
GE Aviation has delivered its 1000th GE90 engine to Boeing for
its 777 program. The engine, a GE90-115B engine, was recently
shipped from GE's outdoor test facility in Peebles, Ohio, to
Boeing's Washington facility to be installed on a 777-300ER
aircraft for Emirates Airlines.

Nextant Aerospace announced Wednesday that Constant Aviation has

Exclusive Supplier Of Aux Fuel Systems For Boeing Biz Jets
PATS Aircraft Systems announced the award of a 5 year contract
with Boeing Commercial Airplanes Thursday to supply Auxiliary Fuel
Systems (AFS) for the 737 derivative Boeing Business Jet (BBJ)
family of aircraft. The agreement includes AFS kit manufacturing
Duncan Aviation, Jet Aviation Added As Distributors For
Premier Aircraft has received European Aviation Safety Agency
(EASA) certification for its "50Dash4" performance upgrade for the
Falcon 50. The company also announced Wednesday that the
50Dash4 STC will now be available through new distributors Duncan
Aviation and Jet Aviation.

The message from Lear's David Coleal is clear... the internationally manufactured Learjet 85 IS on track. According to Coleal and his staff, "Development of the Bombardier Learjet 85 aircraft continues on schedule for its announced entry into service date of 2013. Progress has been consistent and going as planned. With the joint definition exit phase at hand, we have completed two proof of concept fuselage sections as well as all wind tunnel testing. The systems design, installation and integration are on target, icing tunnel tests have begun, and we have established certification protocols with the FAA."

Preparing For Shipment To Cape Canaveral For First Flight
Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) successfully conducted
two static firings of the first stage, nine engine cluster for its
Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The firings took place at SpaceX’s
Texas Test Site, a 300-acre structural and propulsion testing
facility just outside of Waco, Texas.
