Fast Company: Gulfstream G450 Sets Denver-Honolulu Speed Record

A Gulfstream G450 business jet recently established a new city-pair speed record between Denver’s Centennial Airport and Honolulu Airport on the island of Oahu. The aircraft flew 2,944 nautical miles in 7 hours and 7 minutes, at an average speed of Mach 0.84 and with an average headwind of 61 knots.

Avidyne Entegra Release 6.0 and EX500 MFD Receive TSOs From EASA

Avidyne Corporation tells ANN that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approved Technical Standard Orders (TSOs) for the Release 6.0 upgrade for the Entegra integrated flight deck and for the EX500 multi-function display (MFD).

ISS Preparing For Visitors

The International Space Station crew's week included a robotic arm first and a docking communications test to prepare for a new European cargo ship set to launch next year. Expedition 12 Commander Bill McArthur and Flight Engineer Valery Tokarev also repaired a cabin air analyzer and completed a scientific study of the effects of weightlessness on the muscles, joints and bones of the lower body.

American Legend Aircraft has named three key persons to the company's advisory board. These appointments include Clyde Smith Jr., notable Cub historian and restoration expert; Danny Goggins, company test pilot; and Rich Giannotti, first Legend Cub customer.
