American Legend Revises Cub Purchase Plan

Secure Production Slot With $2,400 Deposit

American Legend Aircraft Company announced Tuesday a new deposit program for purchasers of its popular Legend Cub LSA.

Company representatives tell Aero-News that American Legend added a new purchase plan to make it easier for new customers to acquire a Legend Cub. Under the new plan, a customer is able to secure a production slot for the presently backlogged Legend Cub with a $2,400 refundable deposit, reducing the customer's financial risk.

A purchaser may also still take advantage of the previous deposit program and thereby lock-in the purchase price of a Legend Cub. This plan requires a 10-percent non-refundable deposit. Sixty days prior to delivery, another deposit of 40-percent of the purchase price is required, with the remaining 50 percent due at delivery.

"As we ramped up our production capabilities to meet high demand for the Legend Cub, we realized our newest customers were looking at a nine to ten month wait for delivery," said Tim Elliott, president of American Legend Aircraft Company. "In order to assist with their purchase planning, we have reduced our deposit requirements to make their purchase easier. We are finding that customers are more likely to reserve a production slot when provided greater flexibility in the purchase."

The Legend Cub is a two-place, single engine piston-powered aircraft designed to meet Light-Sport Aircraft category certification requirements. It has an empty weight of 850 lbs. The Legend Cub is propelled by a 100-horsepower Continental O-200 engine with electric start.

Equipped with optional floats, the aircraft is capable of water takeoffs and landings.
