More Probable MH370 Debris Located Off Mozambique

Condition Of The Wreckage Suggest Violent Impact With The Water

Additional wreckage found in the water off the coast of Mozambique is believed to be from Malaysian Airlines MH370, which disappeared more than two years ago. And if it is part of that airplane, the condition of the wreckage suggests that the aircraft violently impacted the water and was not under control of the pilot when it did.

The wreckage, which is twisted and torn, suggests a catastrophic event aboard the Boeing 777. The U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail reports that it refocuses attention on the possibility that the pilot attempted to turn back to Kuala Lumpur before becoming unconscious.

Mike Exner, a member of the Independent Group (IG) of experts investigating the disappearance, said that a Boeing ID number on the wreckage leaves little doubt that it is from MH370, and that it appears to be from the tail of the airplane.

The condition of the wreckage would seem to put an end to the theory that the airplane glided down to a softer ditching in the ocean after its fuel was exhausted. More likely, it impacted the water at a high rate of speed, according to informed observers.
