Crew Members Allegedly Got Too Friendly In The Cockpit
An alleged assignation between a Cathay Pacific employees widely
believed to be a pilot and flight attendant has apparently delayed
the release of an advertising campaign designed to depict airline
crews in casual settings. A previous phase of the campaign
reportedly made minor celebrities out of some of the more
attractive FA's, according to the South China Post.
But then, photos surfaced on the Internet depicting employees on
board an airplane and engaged in activities better suited for the
bedroom than the front office of an airliner. The two people
involved appear to be a Cathay Pacific pilot and flight attendant,
though neither appears to be in ... or should we say out of ...
uniform.
The advertising campaign was said to revolve around the slogan
"Meet the team who go the extra mile to make you feel special,"
according to Reuters. That slogan might appear to be "unfortunate"
given the compromising photos which were widely circulated last
week, according to an article an AdAge.
USA Today reports that the pictures were reportedly photographed
by a third party looking at the supposed pilot's laptop. For the
airline's part, John Slosar, the CEO of the Hong Kong-based
carrier, said in a statement "Let me be crystal clear about one
thing. I find any behavior that recklessly soils the reputation of
our company or our team members as totally unacceptable." The
statement goes on to say that the two who were photographed "are no
longer employees of the company."
