Women In Aerospace Announces 2009 Board Of Directors

Chair, Vice-Chair Also Selected

Women in Aerospace (WIA) announced Monday the selection of five new members to their board of directors. In addition to selecting new members, the board also elected Debra Facktor Lepore, AirLaunch, as their 2009 chair and Cindy Malawy, The Boeing Company, as vice-chair.

The newly approved board members are:

  • Sandra C. Coleman, Director for NASA Exploration Programs, ATK Washington Operations;
  • William B. Gail, Director of Strategic Development, Public Sector Product Group, Microsoft Corporation;
  • Madhulika Guhathakurta;
  • F. Suzanne Jenniches, Vice President and General Manager, Government Systems Division, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems; and,
  • John Tylko, Vice President, Aurora Flight Sciences

That line-up joins WIA’s current board members Deborah Alderson, SAIC; Alan Ladwig, Whitney, Bradley & Brown; Laurie Leshin; Rosanna Sattler, Posternak, Blankstein & Lund LLP; Kay Sears, Intelsat General; Carol Staubach, Booz Allen Hamilton; Kathy Tamer, United Space Alliance; Bruce Wald, ITT; and, Annalisa Weigel, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Women in Aerospace (WIA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding women's opportunities for leadership and to increasing their visibility within the aerospace community. Any person who supports WIA's mission and goals is eligible for membership.
