Helicopter Landing At Gentlemen's Club Not Illegal

Aircraft Delivered Well-Known Exotic Dancer For A Show

When it comes to NIMBY, there are two things that often float to the top of the complaint list of any town; strip clubs and helicopters. In Salisbury, MA, it was both ... in one location.

Salisbury residents complained to local authorities about a helicopter parked outside a "Gentleman's Club" in the town, but it turned out that nothing illegal was going on either inside or outside the establishment. Boston radio station WBZ reports that, according to Salisbury police chief Tom Fowler, the pilot had permission to land the helo on private property to deliver a "celebrity" exotic dancer to the club for a show.

The chief did say, however, that the law could be changed. He said utility wires in the vicinity of the club "would be a concern of mine."

Fowler has been Police Chief in the resort community north of Boston, which was established in 1639, for just over a year. "It's summer here in Salisbury and you never know what is going to happen," he told the station.

The dancer, just for your edification, goes by the stage name “Bridget the Midget.”
