HAI2009: Conklin & de Decker Offers '09 State Tax For Heli Operations

Expert Help For Those Dealing With State Tax Issues

Conklin & de Decker has released a new 2009 State Tax Guide for General Aviation. This new guide covers the latest taxes and fees imposed on helicopter operations in all fifty United States and contains sales and use taxes applicable to helicopter sales, ownership, leases, parts, and labor.

Packed full of critical tax information, the State Tax Guide is a must-have reference tool for all types of aircraft operators, accountants, dealers, brokers, aviation law professionals, and others.

New for 2009, the State Tax Guide will include information on how the states tax the airlines and aircraft held in inventory. Included in the 2009 State Tax Guide are common exemptions from the state sales and/or use taxes as well as common carrier, occasional sales, fly-away and trade-in credits. Registration fees, personal property taxes, jet fuel and even aviation gasoline taxes are also included. In addition to tax data, contact information for the Departments of Revenue and Aviation in each state is also included.

The State Tax Guide has the ability to compare 3 states side by side. This feature enables users to quickly compare tax rates and exemptions for the selected states. In addition, you can now download the entire program via the internet, enabling subscribers to have instant access to this valuable data. CD-ROM program versions will continue to be available.

As the majority of the state legislatures are only in session for a few months a year this can cause rapid changes in their tax laws. Users of the State Tax Guide can stay informed of these changes by easily and regularly checking for updates via the software.

"If state taxes are a concern and crucial to your EMS, Firefighting or other type of rotor operation, then the Conklin & de Decker State Tax Guide for General Aviation is an indispensable tool for you, it's just that simple," stated Nel Stubbs, vice president for Conklin & de Decker and veteran tax consultant. "We do the research for you and make it easy to access so you save time and stay current on all state tax changes."

A one-year subscription is $275 and includes the CD ROM and downloadable updates throughout the year.
