While at eFest 2015, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, took the time to talk with Jack Marck, the foam category marketing manager for Horizon Hobby.
When we use the word “foam,” we’re talking about extremely light-weight RC model airplanes that are constructed out of various types of plastic foams. The subject of this discussion was all about FPV.
“First Person View,” is referred to in the modeling world as FPV. In this type of RC model flying the pilot controls the plane by actually viewing the flight as if being positioned inside the cockpit. It’s about as real as you can get and still have both feet firmly planted on the ground.
Jim asked the question we are all interested in and that is, how much does this sort of technology cost? When first introduced, FPV was high tech stuff with a high price to match. But in this video you’ll learn, as Jim did, things have changed. You’ll see FPV capable aircraft that are simple, small, and absolutely affordable. The video also provides information on how you can learn more about this new exciting hobby. This is a fun video to watch with lots of cool things to see about this fascinating hobby.
