PRODUCT: All Airbus Model A318, A319, A320-211, -212, -214, -231, -232, and -233 airplanes, and A321 series airplanes.
ACTION: Final Rule
SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by the discovery of corroded circlips in fuel vent protectors (FVP) having a certain part number.
This AD requires an inspection to determine the part number and serial number of the FVP, and replacement if necessary; and application of sealant on certain nuts and bolts of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) duct assembly.
The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
DATES: This AD is effective May 22, 2017.
