Company Wants To Take Back Glass Panel Segment
Avidyne announced Monday morning they are now holding
themselves to a higher standard in terms of their commitment to
customer service... part of the company's resurgent push to take
back the glass panel segment from Garmin.
The Platinum AOG service guarantee now provides their users with
a replacement of their product within 48hrs. If Avidyne is unable
to replace the product within that time, they will extend the
customer's warranty for an additional six months.
As a bonus, this service will be provided to those customers
that are still under warranty and is effective immediately for all
in-warranty and FLEX extended warranty customers at no additional
charge.
The company also states if your Avidyne product is out of
warranty, there is no need to worry. Avidyne is offering owners the
option to reinstate their warranty coverage. Although this coverage
is only available in North America, they are expected to roll out a
similar package for their international customers later on this
year.
The warranty announcement was but one of several notable news
items to come from Avidyne this week in Oshkosh.
As ANN reported, Avidyne also announced
Entegra PFD4000 -- a scaled down, 8" version of the original
Entegra. The company is also demonstrating its version of a
synthetic vision system, on a 15" PFD display.
The PFD4000 comes with a remote ADHRS unit so it can retrofit
into a greater line of existing older aircraft. This will allow
Avidyne to further penetrate the OEM market.
The PFD4000 will be available with the synthetic vision, but
President Dan Schwinn would not comment this early as to how much
the new PFD4000 would cost... saying only, "it will be competitive
in price to other like models."
Likewise, Dan added, "People will only put what they can fit and
what they afford into their aircraft. And Avidyne intends to fill
that need."
