Idaho Business Aviation Association To Host Quest Aircraft At September Meeting

Sandpoint-Based Company Produces Kodiak Turboprop

The Idaho Business Aviation Association announced Wednesday its September luncheon meeting will include a static display and presentation on the recently-certified Kodiak aircraft.

Sponsored by Quest Aircraft Company, the September 18 meeting will feature an overview of the manufacturer's Kodiak aircraft, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Specifically designed as a bush/utility aircraft suited to the needs of missionary and humanitarian aviation organizations, the Kodiak will provide access to the most remote and geographically challenging areas the world.

Headquartered in Sandpoint, ID, Quest Aircraft Company was established in 2001 and is the only aircraft manufacturer based in Idaho, employing over 150 workers.

The meeting will be held from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Hangar 4 at Western Aircraft located at 4300 S. Kennedy St., Boise, ID 83705.

The IBAA is a non-profit 501(c)(6) regional business aviation trade organization formed for the purpose of networking, socializing and working toward the common goal of improving business aviation in the state of Idaho and the surrounding area. The state of Idaho lists over 80 turbine-registered aircraft and an equal number of business-related piston aircraft resulting in hundreds of direct jobs and thousands of peripheral jobs.
