Sebring Expo 2013 Will Feature New Manufacturer Showcases

Event Officials Call AirVenture Week 'Productive'

The U.S. Sport Aviation Expo team had a productive week at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2012. Sebring Airport Authority Executive Director Mike Willingham and U.S. Sport Aviation Expo Director Jana Filip greeted Expo exhibitors and made it clear that Expo’s focus is to provide exhibitors with as many opportunities as possible to demonstrate their aircraft.

To that end, manufacturer showcases will be added to the daily schedule, offering manufacturers a dedicated time to demonstrate their aircraft’s performance capabilities. Additional bleachers will be added along the flight line to bring more visitors up front to watch the demos. In addition, companies may choose to have the air show announcer or a company representative describe the aircraft’s performance during each manufacturer’s showcase window.

“We were able to get the diagram of the new layout in their hands and help them understand our motivation for moving things around a bit —to provide a way to keep visitors moving within the central area of the Expo and obtain more visitor/exhibitor interaction,” Filip said.
