Pratt & Whitney Signs Five New Engine Management Program Contracts

Domestic And International Operators Sign On For Ongoing Maintenance

Pratt & Whitney recently signed five new contracts for its Engine Management Program  service in which Pratt & Whitney monitors and helps maintain customers' engine performance. Through these agreements, Pratt & Whitney has two new U.S.-based customers -- Southern Air, located in Norwalk, CT, with an eight-year EMP agreement for 12 PW4000 engines and Capital Cargo, based out of Orlando, FL, with a five-year EMP agreement for six PW2000 engines.

Internationally, China Cargo has signed a three-year EMP agreement on four of its PW2000 engines. Greece-based Astra Airlines has signed a three-year EMP agreement for two V2500 engines and Icelandair has agreed to a five-year EMP agreement for eight PW4060 engines.

"Pratt & Whitney's Engine Management Program ensures our customers' engines receive the finest care and attention possible while increasing their productivity and operating efficiency," said Lou Quattrochi, Pratt & Whitney Commercial Programs vice president. "We are excited to work with these new customers to support their Pratt & Whitney-powered aircraft."

Pratt & Whitney designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines, space propulsion systems and industrial gas turbines.
