USC 40103(B), THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) CLASSIFIES
THE AIRSPACE DEFINED IN THIS NOTAM AS 'NATIONAL DEFENSE AIRSPACE'.
ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY OR WILLFULLY VIOLATES THE RULES CONCERNING
OPERATIONS IN THIS AIRSPACE MAY BE SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CRIMINAL
PENALTIES UNDER 49 USC 46307. PILOTS WHO DO NOT ADHERE TO THE
FOLLOWING PROCEDURES MAY BE INTERCEPTED, AND MAY BE DETAINED AND
INTERVIEWED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT/SECURITY PERSONNEL. PURSUANT TO
TITLE 14, SECTION 91.141 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS,
AIRCRAFT FLIGHT OPERATIONS ARE PROHIBITED WITHIN THE FOLLOWING
AREA: WITHIN A .5 NMR OF 385610N/0770007W OR THE DCA028004.9 UP TO
AND INCLUDING 3000 FT MSL EFFECTIVE 0804172030 UTC (1630 LOCAL
04/17/08) UNTIL 0804172345 UTC (1945 LOCAL 04/17/08). EXCEPT AS

AIRCRAFT ON ACTIVE INTERCEPT MISSIONS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL FLIGHTS
ARRIVING AND DEPARTING THE WHC HELIPORT (DC08) AND CHILDRENS
HOSPITAL HELIPORT (DC17). 1. EMERGENCY MEDICAL FLIGHTS MUST CONTACT
THE FAA REPRESENTATIVE AT THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION COORDINATION
CENTER (NCRCC) AT 866-598-9522 PRIOR TO THEIR DEPARTURE TO AVOID
POTENTIAL DELAYS. 2. EMERGENCY MEDICAL FLIGHTS ENTERING OR EXITING
THE TFR MUST HAVE A DISCRETE CODE ASSIGNED BY AN AIR TRAFFIC
CONTROL (ATC) FACILITY. AIRCRAFT MUST BE SQUAWKING THE DISCRETE
CODE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE AND AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE TFR AND MUST
REMAIN IN TWO-WAY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WITH ATC. END PART 2 OF
