China's Largest Air Ambulance Provider's Debut Marks New Era In Service

Deer Jet, Golden Meditech And Shenzhen CSOS Assistance Jointly Launch Deer Jet Medical Co. Ltd.

At a grand opening ceremony in Beijing Thursday, Deer Jet Co.Ltd. under HNA Group, Golden Meditech and China SOS International (CSOS) inked a strategic agreement on China's air medical service as the debut of the nation's largest air ambulance provider, Deer Jet Medical. Zhang Ling, Chairman of HNA Tourism, Gan Yuan, Chairman of Golden Meditech, Xu Xin, Chairman of Deer Jet and Lu Haikuan, CEO of China SOS International were present and gave speeches.

Commercial medical aviation emerged in the US in the 1980s, its adoption and popularity tremendously enhanced the success chance of emergency medical transports by shortening geographical distance and time-to-rescue. In the past decades, China has been seeing increasingly large scale movement of personnel powered by economic prosperity and globalization. With domestic population migration becoming a common scene, unexpected natural disasters, accidents and security breaches are on the rise with frequent losses of lives. Overseas situations like natural disasters, war and turmoil, political instability in destination countries are contributing to the gradually deteriorating life security of Chinese travelers, who are seeing far more incidents. By the end of 2013, the number of Chinese businesses operating abroad has reached over 20,000 with more Chinese seeking employment in foreign nations, where regional turbulences escalate risks they face. Another spiking trend that is behind the growing tourist population traveling abroad is the rising living standards over the years. With Chinese outbound tourist visits reaching 100 million in 2013, it is expected that by 2020, Chinese outbound visits will reach 150 million and traveling incidents will be on the rise. For frequent travelers, it has turned into an urgent demand to be able to evacuate quickly under sickness, injury and security threat conditions with the aid of Chinese nationals to the safety and comfort of home and receive thorough medical treatment under warm environment.

The three-party strategic partnership to launch Deer Jet Medical has set the stage to combine medical capability and air transport capacity and filled the void in the China market to serve global clients based from customized "one-stop" solutions from China. Deer Jet Medical aims to model itself on product development in line with international incumbents by offering competitive products and service to business and individual customers; it also operates on highly standardized, stringent medical and risk control protocols with more attention paid toward personal, considerate care.

Deer Jet Medical was previously known as Shenzhen CSOS Assistance Co. Ltd (CSOS) established in 1998. As China's first and the largest business jet operator in Asia, Deer Jet had committed itself to emergency transit since inception, and partnered up with established international providers in the 2nd year it went into business.

Another stakeholder Golden Meditech was listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange Growth Enterprise Market in December 2001, and by June 2006 it was approved for listing on Hong Kong's main stock exchange. Golden Meditech is China's first overseas-listed medical high-tech enterprise and over the years, it took leading positions in medical equipment research and production, cord blood stem cell storage, hospital management and natural botanicals innovation.

The launching of Deer Jet Medical marks its parent company, Deer Jet's added customer service ability as Asia's largest business jet operator. In time of need, it will provide seamless connection between ground and air transit, and with solid ground support and global service network coverage to further enhance safety and operating efficiency. At the highest speed and with the most advanced assistance, Deer Jet Medical strives to bring hope of life to patients around the world.

Meanwhile, Deer Jet Medical stations its jets on a 24x7 mode and its global outreach from FBOs in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen enables it to safely transfer Chinese patients in need on a "bed-to-bed" fashion back to designated hospitals for better treatment.
