Diamond Aircraft Names New Mid-Atlantic Distributor

VA-Based Dealer Partnership Between Dominion Aviation, Premier Aircraft Sales

Aero-News learned Monday Diamond Aircraft reached an agreement at last week's NBAA 2007 convention with Dominion Aircraft Sales of Richmond, VA to become the new Diamond Regional Distribution Center for Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Kentucky. Dominion Aircraft Sales is a partnership between Dominion Aviation of Richmond, and Premier Aircraft Sales of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

"We are very pleased that Dominion Aviation and Premier have partnered up to serve our customers in the Mid-Atlantic area," says Heike Larson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Diamond Aircraft. "Premier has been a wonderful partner to Diamond in the South East, and brings tremendous experience in selling Diamond aircraft. Dominion Aviation adds great local market knowledge, facilities and management, offering outstanding service and flight training facilities at its Richmond base, as well as a strong background in turbine aircraft sales and maintenance. We are very pleased to welcome Dominion Aircraft Sales to our family of dedicated Diamond Distributors."

Dominion Aviation is a full service Fixed Base Operator located at the Chesterfield County Airport (KFCI). The company was founded in 1983.

"We are very excited to work with Premier and further our involvement with Diamond Aircraft. We have been working with Diamond by utilizing their aircraft in our flight training program. This venture will help us to promote what we already know is a superior product," said Thomas T. "Mike" Mickel, Jr, President and CEO of Dominion Aviation, and CEO of Dominion Aircraft Sales.

Premier Aircraft Sales is the largest Diamond Distributor in North America, with offices in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, FL; Addison, TX; and Atlanta, GA. Representatives are also located in Houston, TX; Auburn, AL; and Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, NC.

"Since our start with Diamond, we have continuously expanded our territory based on our sales success. Partnering up with Dominion Aviation was a natural way for us to bring our sales experience to a new territory, while also relying on the expertise of a well respected and established business like Dominion," said Earle Boyter, President of Dominion Aircraft Sales.
