The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA)
and NBAA will offer a two-day Flight Operations Manual
Workshop in Geneva on May 10 and 11 in conjunction with EBACE2003.
The event will enable participants to develop a flight operations
manual using the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC)
International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO),
the first internationally recognized operating standard for the
corporate aviation community. This successful Workshop has been
offered in North America since IS-BAO was introduced in 2002.
This Workshop is designed for flight department
personnel who want to create a new operations manual or update an
existing one using IS-BAO, a set of practices designed to promote
highly professional and safe corporate flight operations. This
interactive Workshop employs experienced facilitators who draw upon
the experiences of class participants to understand how flight
departments really operate. Participants will leave the Workshop
with sufficient knowledge, class notes and computer media to
develop a draft manual within hours of arrival back at home
base.
Topics covered include:
Safety management systems
Standard operating procedures
Flight operations
Training
Administration/organization
Maintenance
International operations
Workshop participants will receive:
IS-BAO
Standards and Recommended Practices
IS-BAO Generic Company Operations Manual
Extensive supplementary class notes
Computer media containing all course materials
Five-year update service for IS-BAO materials
The cost of the Workshop is as follows:

Manual: U.S. $850
Non-Members: U.S. $1,750
