Source: From "Transportation Security Administration's Oversight of Passenger Aircraft Cargo Security Faces Significant Challenges", released in July by the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security. Representative Edward J. Markey (D-MA), a senior member of the House Homeland Security Committee, responded to the report this week, saying the report amounts to "a scathing indictment" of the inadequacy of DHS procedures to stop transport of dangerous cargo via airplane.
