It Absolutely, Positively Had To Be THERE

FedEx Plane Crashes Into House, Pilot Injured

A 60-year old pilot for FedEx escaped with minor injuries Tuesday night when his Cessna Caravan crashed into a home in Georgetown, TX. No one on the ground was hurt.

Police on the scene said pilot Mike McKenna of Cedar Creek, TX, had just taken off from Austin's Bergstrom International Airport en route to Alliance Airport in Fort Worth when something went wrong. Investigators said McKenna tried to make an emergency landing but, in the dark, clipped a power line, became inverted and crashed into the house.

McKenna was reportedly recovering from a broken arm. The sole occupant of the house wasn't injured.
