Scottish Police Search For Anti-Trump Paraglider Pilot

Flew His Aircraft Over Trump-Owned Golf Course Where The President Was Playing

A manhunt has been launched for a paraglider pilot who flew over the Turnberry golf course Friday towing a banner with an anti-Trump message.

President Trump was at the golf course he owns in Scotland with business associates following his official visit to the U.K. The banner said "Trump Well Below Par # Resist". USA Today reports that the Greenpeace protester flew low over the front lawn of the club in violation of a VIP TRF that was put in place over the course while President Trump was staying there over the weekend.

According to the report, the paraglider flew across the Ayrshire countryside for about three miles at 9:30 local time Friday evening. It circled the lawn and departed the area.

"We are investigating a breach of the air exclusion zone over Turnberry Hotel," Detective Inspector Stephen McCulloch said, who described the act as a "criminal offense." "We are attempting to trace the pilot, and I would appeal to anyone with any information about the incident to call police," he added.

Authorities were notified about the flyover before it occurred, according to a Greenpeace spokesman. Authorities were also notified a few minutes before the aircraft arrived over Turnberry.

The environmental group said it was protesting Trump's position on climate change and his commitment to increasing coal production in the U.S.
