Training Package Valued At $22,495
Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program announced it
recently awarded their annual Women in Aviation scholarship to Yuko
Hasegawa of Oklahoma City, OK. The award was given during the 19th
Annual International Women in Aviation Conference in San Diego, CA,
which wrapped up this past weekend.
"As anyone taking flight training knows, the cost of fees and
books and materials expenses is daunting," said Hasegawa, in
appreciation of the award. "The scholarship I received from the
Women in Aviation-Commercial Airline Pilot Training is essential in
helping me achieve my goals."
The CAPT-Women in Aviation Scholarship includes a
commercial/multi-engine/instrument review course (academics and
flight) in a crew concept environment with the student culminating
24 hours in a transport category-type Flight Training Device. Upon
successful completion of the course, the recipient will be eligible
for employment through CAPT's partnering airlines. The scholarship
is valued at $22,495.
Nikki Payne, Chief Flight Instructor at CAPT, was on hand to
present the award. "This scholarship will provide Yuko with a 10
week course of training that will focus on bringing a
student’s skill set up to the standards required by
today’s rigorous airline training schedule," said Payne. "As
the Chief Flight Instructor it is an honor to recognize a peer in
the aviation industry and to be able to support her in reaching her
goals."
Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) Program trains students
worldwide to fly the industry’s most advanced aircraft. The
program combines superior aeronautical academics with advanced
flight simulation in a proficiency-based flight training
environment. Headquartered in Palm Coast, Florida, CAPT Program is
a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flight Training Services
International.
