SpaceX founder Elon Musk has unveiled the prototype of its Starship spacecraft that he hopes will be carrying people into space next year and eventually carry colonists to Mars. The spacecraft was unveiled at a celebration marking the 11th anniversary of the first launch of the Falcon 1, which happened September 28th, 2008. The Starship is designed to carry up to 100 people to destinations such as the moon or Mars, and will carry Japanese billionaire entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa and a handful of artists on a trip around the moon in the 2020s, if all goes according to plan.
