AMA Drone Report 05.03.18: DJI Mavic Chute, Drone Airspace, Innovation Preview

The 40mm Harrier launcher features a high-energy compression spring that ejects the parachute out and away from the Mavic Pro quickly. The launcher has no regulatory or transportation limitations so it can be used anywhere. Under the Limited Interim Missile Warning System (LIMWS) contract, the company’s 2-Color Advanced Warning System (2C-AWS) will provide the aircraft with missile warning and hostile fire protection to improve survivability and mission effectiveness in contested environments.
