Both Flight Data And Cockpit Voice Recorders Will Yield Data
From The Flight
BEA Safety Investigators say they were able to download data
from both the Flight Data and Cockpit Voice recorders from Air
France Flight 447 over the weekend.
Space Shuttle Endeavour successfully launched Monday morning on
it's delayed mission to ISS. The launch had been pushed back after
problems cropped up with one of the the spacecraft's APU cooling
units.

Parallax
The apparent shift of an object’s position when viewed
from different locations. Parallax, also called trigonometric
parallax, is used to determine the distance to nearby stars. As the
Earth’s position changes during its yearly orbit around the
Sun, the apparent locations of nearby stars slightly shift. The
stars’ distances can be calculated from those slight shifts
with basic trigonometric methods.
Aero-Linx: The Lynx Suborbital
Spacecraft
The Lynx is XCOR’s entry into the commercial reusable
launch vehicle (RLV) market. This two-seat, piloted space transport
vehicle will take humans and payloads on a half-hour suborbital
flight to 100 km (330,000 feet) and then return safely to a landing
at the takeoff runway. Like an aircraft, Lynx is a horizontal
takeoff and horizontal landing vehicle, but instead of a jet or
piston engine, Lynx uses its own fully reusable rocket propulsion
system to depart a runway and return safely. This approach is
unique compared to most other RLVs in development, such as
conventional vertical rocket launches and air-launched winged
rocket vehicles “dropped” at altitude from a jet
