It's a troubling day when vandals chose to attack any airport...
but it hurts all the more when the victims are those who hangar
their planes at a privately-held field affectionately called "Pea

Low-Level Flight Will 'Let Everybody Know We're On The
The Super Bowl has become a de facto American holiday to many...
and, sadly, that also means it is an attractive potential target
for terrorists. One of the numerous security precautions to be
undertaken this Sunday, will involve pilots assigned to the 162nd
Fighter Wing's Alert Detachment at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ
flying air patrols and air defense deterrence missions.
Sort it out for yourselves. That's the message the National
Mediation Board had for pilots at American Airlines this week, as
the board opted to stay out of bitter contract talks now underway
between airline executives, and the Allied Pilots Association.
Plane AA-1 Will Fly To Base Later This Year For More Tests

While there are still too many manufacturers barely keeping the doors open, the entry of industry heavyweights Cirrus design and Cessna Aircraft was a signal to one and all that the LSA market had to be taken seriously.

Study Shows It'll Be Close For "Worst Year Ever" Title
The US Department of Transportation is set next week to release
statistics on airline performance during 2007. It's not clear if
weather-related disruptions during the holidays will pull 2007 down
to be the worst on-time performance in recorded history, or whether
adjustments made by DOT and the airlines in the final quarter
managed to stave off that dubious title.
