hurricanes Katrina and Rita -- two of the most powerful storms on
record -- and Ophelia slammed into this country's Gulf Coast and
Atlantic seaboard respectively within a mere four weeks of each
other, that principle was put to the ultimate test when the Civil
Air Patrol, along with other federal, state and local
disaster-response agencies, responded in the wake of these

production facility northeast of Baghdad, scoring a major victory
against insurgents who use the deadly weapons against US and

Maurice Kirk, the 60-year-old British veterinarian flying his
Piper Cub around the world, was hospitalized in Japan on Friday
after a forced landing near the historic city of Kanazawa. His 1943

Injured After Taxiing 727 Misses Turnoff, Blasts Hangars
The FAA and NTSB are investigating following an incident
Saturday night where an employee working near a hangar at San
Antonio International Airport (SAT) was injured after he was caught
in the jetwash of a chartered 727 that swung in too close after
missing a ground turnoff.

NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL will be closed
Monday to all business and operations in anticipation of the threat
caused by Hurricane Wilma. The storm is expected to make landfall
along the southwestern coast of Florida by Monday morning as a
strong Category 2 storm, although it should weaken to a Category 1
by the time it reaches the eastern portion of the state.
Contradicts Earlier Reports Of As Many As 50 Survivors
The Nigerian government has released a statement retracting
earlier reports of survivors of the Saturday night accident
involving a Bellview Airlines B737-200 that went down after takeoff
in an electrical storm. Officials now state all 117 passengers,
including one American, onboard the doomed airliner died.
It would appear NASA does not have enough money to complete
construction on the International Space Station -- and if the
agency cannot get additional funding cleared, it is looking
to trimming an already thinned-out schedule of shuttle

Hurricane Wilma -- which, barring a sudden and unexpected shift

around 8 am Monday as a strong Category 2 or 3 storm.
