Red Bull Air Race Pilot Flies At Tannkosh Burning Carbon-Neutral Avgas

On Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, Matthias Dolderer, Red Bull Air Race pilot and co-organizer of the "Tannkosh" airshow, presented a full aerobatics display completely neutral in terms of CO2 emissions, his aircraft engine running on the new SwiftFuel 100SF – a first in aviation history. This was also the European debut of a single engine aircraft running on biofuel.

Witnesses In Another Airplane Said They Saw The Attempted Maneuver

The pilot of a J3C Cub which went down in Lake Winnebago during Oshkosh resulting in two fatal injuries was attempting a hammerhead stall, according to another pilot who witnessed the maneuver. The NTSB's investigation into the matter is ongoing.
