Mooney Acclaim Wins Ultimate Challenge Air Race

Inaugural 300 NM Race Focused On Pure Speed

A Mooney Acclaim M20TN took first prize in Category C of the South African Power Flying Association's Ultimate Challenge Air Race held August 15, 2009 in South Africa. Mooney ZS-ACC, piloted by Patrick Hanly of SA Mooney, and owned and navigated by Frikkie Greefe, flew the 297.32 nautical mile course in 1:30:44.

Test demonstrates wing can withstand 4G load

Belite Aircraft has completed a series of tests which statically demonstrated the structural integrity and durability of the aircraft's carbon fiber wing under loads of up to 4Gs. Conducted at the firm's Wichita, Kansas facilities, the tests subjected a carbon fiber wing to progressively increasing G loads.
