Damn... The Associated Press reports airshow pilot Jim Leroy
died en route to Miami Valley Hospital Saturday afternoon,
following an accident during his routine at the Vectren Dayton
Airshow.
With all the hubbub surrounding the announcements of new
light sport aircraft from Cessna and Cirrus, you may not be aware
of a third company hoping to make an impact in the burgeoning LSA
market. Gobosh Aviation unveiled its new light sport
aircraft , the G-700S, this week at AirVenture 2007.
Maybe it's just the overall white finish with no real flashy
trim, but this beast looks like an Extra and Nemesis may have been
fooling around while nobody watched at one of last year's fly-ins.
Its salesmen unabashedly say the airplane's lines come from the
Extra 230 and the Laser.
Al and Tim Adelman, father and son owners of Chesapeake Sport
Pilot, decided to give up careers as attorneys to work in a field
fueled by their passion for aviation. Their Stevensville, MD flight
school opened its doors in February of 2007 with one light sport
aircraft. Al and Tim shared their experiences in building the
flight school this week at AirVenture.
