Will Visit As Many Former Spitfire Fields As Possible
Aero-News has learned that at 0430hrs local time Thursday
morning, the Dawn to Dusk Spitfire Challenge will set off,
attempting to visit as many former Spitfire airfields in Britain as
possible over the course of one day.
Aviation Technology Group, Inc. told Aero-News Wednesday the
company has made several design changes to its Javelin two-seat jet
aircraft, all with an eye towards making the plane safer to
operate. The changes include an increase in wing size, enhancement
of wing lift devices, and improvement to the canopy opening
mechanism.
Witness Kent Bryan says one moment, he looked up in the air and
saw Ivan Hittle's ultralight aircraft flying over the Buenna Terra
airport, near Topeka, KS Tuesday. When he turned away, however, he
heard a strange noise.
