The pilot of a homebuilt aircraft that went down near
Holdenville, OK, didn't have a medical certificate. So says the FAA
in the case of Jack Nolen, a semi-retired physician from
Muskogee.
The Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer project has so far cost a small
Kansas airport about $38,000 so far. And executives at the Salina
Airport Authority say it's money well-spent.

others who attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2005. The 53rd annual
edition of the world's greatest aviation celebration will be held
July 25-31 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.
