Kansas Skydiving Operator Challenges City Over Airport Use

City Of Lawrence, KS, Says It Can "Set Reasonable Rules And Regulations"

The city of Lawrence, KS, is continuing to fight local businessman William McCauley over the use of Lawrence Municipal Airport (KLWC) as a landing zone for skydiving operations. The city had hired consultants which advised them that, while they did have to accommodate "legitimate aviation activities" at the airport, it had the right to set "reasonable rules and regulations" for those activities.
