Organizers of the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo at Sebring say that
they had record attendance for at least part of the four-day run of
the show. No official attendance figures have been announced, but a
headline from their blog dated Saturday proclaims "EXPO Breaks All
Attendance Records."
Throughout the 2011 calendar year, the NTSB has been conducting
a study of Experimental Amateur-Built (E-AB) aircraft to evaluate
the safety of this growing and innovative segment of general
aviation. In addition to using the information gathered during its
accident investigations, the NTSB has been working with the FAA,
the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and individual owners
and builders to evaluate a range of issues unique to this popular
segment of general aviation.

Vendors attend fly-in’s because they offer an opportunity
to reach large numbers of people that might become potential
customers. However, one problem vendors have is the escalating
greed of the event organizers. Every year event organizers either
raise prices, or they find more places to attach fees, or both.

of the International Council of Air Shows convention where
thousands of delegates gathered for education sessions, to book air
show performers and where performers put on their “game
face” to make connections and book air show events.
