Air Force officials have reactivated the 69th Bomb Squadron
Sept. 3 at Minot Air Force Base. The new unit is the fourth
operational B-52H Stratofortress squadron in the Air Force and
joins the 23rd Bomb Squadron as the second squadron at the North
Dakota facility.
France To Buy Military Transports Built By Embraer
Brazil and France announced Monday that the two countries will
extend their military relationship with Brazil's purchase of 36
Rafale fighter jets, and the technology to build its own. The
four-to-six billion dollar deal is intended to supply Brazil with
modern fighter aircraft for the next 30 years.
Minister for Defence, Senator John Faulkner, today announced
that the Royal Australian Air Force has acquired Heron Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in close collaboration with Canadian Defence
forces.
Lieutenants Lee and Travis Amerine, the Amerine brothers, knew
they wanted to fly from an early age. "There was an F-4 Phantom
squadron near our hometown in Paris, Arkansas. We would watch them
take off from the end of the runway," said Travis.
