An amazing spirit slipped away a few weeks ago and we only
became aware of it this weekend... and we did not waste anymore
time in letting you know that one of the best and brightest of our
nation's many heroes has gone west.His name was Ed W. "Too Tall"
Freeman -- an American Hero who was once a Captain, US Army Company
A, 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division
(Airmobile).
Members of Civil Air Patrol's Texas Wing braced for Hurricane
Ike, urging residents to "stay safe" while moving CAP aircraft and
equipment away from coastal communities.
As residents of the Texas coastline flee to safe havens, the Air
Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters continue fly right into the center
of Mother Nature's fury Sept. 12 from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.
Hurricane Ike made landfall Sept. 13 along the Texas coast near the
city of Galveston and put forth tropical storm force winds
along the Louisiana and Mississippi coastlines.
Boeing tells ANN that it has completed mission system
flight testing for Block 40/45, the largest upgrade in the history
of the U.S. E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS)
fleet.
