Aerojet Completes Ramjet Ground Testing

Facility Provided Mach 6 Environment

Aerojet tells ANN it recently completed ground testing of an advanced flight-weight combustor for the Dual Combustion Ramjet engine (DCR) on the DARPA/Navy/Boeing HyFly (Hypersonic Flight) program. Aerojet's DCR engine is fabricated entirely from lightweight, high-temperature composites -- making it less than half the weight of fuel-cooled metal engines.

Embraer Delivers 50th Super Tucano To Brazilian Air Force

A-29s Used In Surveillance And Training

Aero-News learned Wednesday that Embraer recently delivered the 50th A-29 -- the designation given to the Super Tucano trainer by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) -- in a ceremony  at the Company’s Gavião Peixoto plant, in Brazil. The event was attended by civilian and military dignitaries and Embraer executives.
