280 Attack, Utility Helos To Replace Aging USMC Fleet
Aero-News has learned Bell Helicopter delivered the first
production AH-1Z attack and UH-1Y utility helicopters Wednesday to
the US Department of Defense.
Just as Boeing announcedit was looking at a tanker variant of its
777 to compete for a lucrative USAF tanker contract,
Boeing began flight tests on its fifth-generation aerial refueling
boom installed on the original KC-767 tanker prototype.
Very Large Displays, For A Very Important Helicopter
Representatives with Smiths Aerospace told ANN Wednesday the
company has been awarded the contract to supply the new large area
cockpit display system for the Lockheed Martin VH-71 Presidential
helicopter, in a contract worth more than $20 million.
