It's the sad coda for a distinguished aviator. The widow of
Memphis Belle commander Robert Morgan is now trying with all her
might to save her mementos of their lives together. Her home in
Swannanoa (NC), was flooded by Hurricane Frances. The photos,
lithographs and limited edition prints that they collected over the
years -- the letters from dignities, celebrities and politicians,
the medals -- much of that has been destroyed.

When the Navy's Blue Angels pay a call on the Nantucket Air Show
next weekend, a lot of people will stop and watch one of the most
incredible aerial demonstration teams in the world.
And a few might be shaking their fists.
HR Textron, based in Santa Clarita (CA) says it's been awarded a
contract from Hamilton Sundstrand to provide Dual Vane Pump
Servovalves to F135 Engine for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint
Strike Fighter. Hamilton Sundstrand is a key member of the Pratt
& Whitney (P&W)-led F135 Development Team and is
responsible for providing the controls and the gearbox to the F135.
This program covers the System Design and Development (SDD) phase
from 2004 to 2007, with an option for the production phase
estimated at $29 million over 24 years. The first prototype unit
delivery is planned for November 2004.
