Swedish Government Looks At Next Generation Gripen

As Many As 60 Of The Aircraft May Be Acquired

The government of Sweden recently announced that it is in negotiations with Saab for the procurement of the next generation Gripen. In a news release, Saab indicates that Sweden will acquire some 40-60 of the next generation fighter jets from their domestic manufacturer. The procurement was announced by the Swedish government in a separate news release.

Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region fighters are protecting the skies during the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL.
