California Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Chris Salgado
remembers his wife calling him to the television set August 10 to
see news reports about a terrorist ring unearthed in London that
was planning attacks on US-bound airliners.
Aero-News has learned Retired Brig. Gen. Robert F. McDermott, US
Air Force Academy dean of the faculty from 1956 to 1968, died
August 28 in San Antonio, TX, after suffering a stroke two weeks
earlier. He was 86.
