From Jennies to jets to stealth bombers, the 131st Bomb Wing's history really began with its co-located flying squadron, now the 110th Bomb Squadron, which traces its roots back to the 110th Observation Squadron. The 110th OS was organized by Maj. Bill Robertson and his brothers, Lieutenants Frank and Dan Robertson, owners of Robertson Aircraft Company.

Engine Represents Air Force's Technology Demonstration Investment Towards Potential Family Of Motors Capability

A newly developed Large Class (92-inch diameter) Stage I solid rocket motor was successfully tested May 23 by ATK and the United States Air Force at ATK's test facilities in Promontory, Utah. The high-performance motor was developed by ATK for the Large Class Stage I program and uses emerging technologies from other Air Force developmental programs, including the Propulsion Application Program and Integrated High Payoff Rocket Propulsion Technology.

First AQS-24A Airborne Mine-Hunting Vehicle Delivered To Japan

The first of four AQS-24A airborne mine-hunting vehicles has been delivered to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) by Northrop Grumman. The towed sensor will be deployed on Japan's new MCH-101 helicopter platform.
