Cadets and officers attending Civil Air Patrol’s National Blue Beret Encampment will again participate in one of the largest and most prestigious aerospace education learning environments in the world during AirVenture 2012.
The CAF is planning to bring more than 10 of its vintage aircraft to EAA AirVenture 2012 in Oshkosh, WI, which will feature CAF performances new to the event as well as ride opportunities in the B-29.
Components To Include The FMS For The New Air Force Tanker Fleet
GE Aviation has signed an agreement with Boeing potentially worth up to $180 million to provide the mission control system for the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46A tanker. The agreement includes design, development and production throughout the life of the program.
NAVAIR’s fuels team is helping the Navy move closer to its goal of deploying a “fleet of ships powered by biofuels.” The fuels team developed a 50/50 blend of camelina oil and JP-5 jet fuel for aircraft and a 50/50 blend of F-76 petroleum and algae-based biofuel to power the ship engines being used during the biennial Rim of the Pacific, or RIMPAC, exercise.
